Reciprocal clubs
FRIENDSHIP WITHCLUBS AROUND THE WORLD
We offer reciprocal relationships with selected historical fencing clubs around the world. These are formal bonds of friendship and mutual recognition, allowing members to visit, train and be welcomed as guests of the host club.
MEMBERS’ ACCESS TO OTHER CLUBS
Historically, journeymen in trade guilds would travel to other areas to learn from masters. A lot of the time, they were not even allowed near their hometown for a few years. We encourage our students to follow this example and visit clubs around the world.
For this purpose, we are introducing journeyman books. The journeyman books were traditionally used to show the standing of the journeyman with previous employers, like a reference or CV. In our books today, students can write down experiences from classes at other clubs, and get signatures from the instructors.
